Dallas Men’s Headshots

Had a lot of fun shooting headshots the other day in downtown Dallas at the new offices of  ”Stewart Dugger & Dean PLLC.”  Mitch Dean approached us to get updated headshots of the whole crew as well as a nice group shot to compliment their web page.  They wanted “environmental headshots” which is our favorite (see previous post,) and we were happy to accommodate them.  Just wanted to feature Mitch’s headshot here to show how well a simple one-light solution (Nikon Speedlight SB-900) in a small Octabox can produce a fabulous looking executive portrait. We did use a fill-card, hand-held by an assistant but you can see how this simple setup produces a beautiful result. On these we use long lenses, extended all the way out to get that nice, out-of-focus background and always choose an area with incandescent lighting for the warm glow.  Anyone that is interested in this type of unique look that we provide day-in-and-day-out is encouraged to give us a call and let us help you promote your business with great images that reflect your company’s personality.

Men’s Headshots for Business

Hello, ya’ll.  Wanted to feature a few shots we did recently at the Costar Company here in Dallas.  Our client liked an “environmental” look for headshots, partner portrait and group photo. Something they could tie together on a new web page they were building.  We were happy to help out on this as we really love shooting these type of shots.  It is a bit more challenging than just “straight-forward” head and should type headshots with a fixed background, but more fun!  If you are considering shooting this type of shot at your office please bear in mind you have to have “the right stuff” to make it happen.  Ideally you want a big open area that is well lighted and plenty of tungsten lights in the background to help with that warm glow that makes these shots so appealing. We do a ton of these type shots and would look forward to discussing it with any clients who like this “look” and want to know more about how we can “make it happen” at your office.
